Last Updated: July 29, 2026
1Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Crystade ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company or other entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
2Early Access Notice
Crystade is currently in its Early Access phase. This means:
- The Service is under active development and features, limits, or pricing may change.
- We may introduce, modify, or remove features with reasonable notice.
- You may encounter bugs or unexpected behavior. We encourage you to report issues to us at
[email protected]. - We will make commercially reasonable efforts to preserve your data and configurations, but we cannot guarantee backward compatibility during this phase.
Your continued use of the Service signifies your acceptance of these early-access conditions.
3Description of Service
Crystade provides cloud-based scheduled task execution, availability monitoring, incident management, and related developer tooling. Feature availability, supported integrations, and plan-specific capabilities are described on our website and product documentation, and may change at any time during the Early Access phase.
4Account Registration
4.1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction) and capable of forming a binding contract to use the Service.
4.2. Registration
You may register for an account using a supported third-party identity provider (currently Google or GitHub). You agree to provide accurate information at the time of registration and to keep your account information current.
4.3. Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and any connected third-party credentials. You must notify us immediately at [email protected] of any unauthorized use of your account. You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
4.4. Upon Registration
- A Personal Team is automatically created for your account.
- You are assigned a unique referral code that can be shared with others.
Account and team limits are defined in our product documentation and may be adjusted at our discretion.
To request account data removal, contact [email protected].
5Teams and Collaboration
Crystade organizes resources around Teams:
- Personal Team: Automatically created at sign-up. This team is exclusive to the account owner and cannot be shared.
- Collaborative Teams: You may create additional teams and invite others to join. There is no limit on the number of members in a collaborative team.
- Roles: Team members are assigned either a Member or Owner role. Owners can invite users, manage roles, and configure team resources and alerts. The number of Owner seats is governed by the team's active plan.
- Billing Admin: A designated owner responsible for managing billing, with financial liability for the team's subscription. Every team has exactly one billing admin; the team creator is assigned this role by default.
- Resources (cron jobs, monitors, incidents, status pages, API keys, alert webhooks, managed groups) belong to a specific team and cannot be transferred between teams.
- Teams and team memberships are managed independently. Teams are not removable.
You are responsible for all actions taken by members of teams you own or manage.
6Scheduled Jobs and Endpoints
The Service executes scheduled HTTP requests to endpoints that you configure ("Endpoints"):
- You are solely responsible for the availability, legality, security, and performance of your Endpoints.
- You grant Crystade the right to make HTTP requests to your Endpoints according to the schedules you define.
- Crystade acts as a scheduling trigger. We are not responsible for the business logic, outcome, or impact of operations executed at your Endpoints.
Technical limits such as execution timeouts, payload sizes, retry behavior, and log retention are described in our product documentation and are subject to change.
7Monitors and Health Checks
The Service performs availability monitoring against targets you configure:
- Supported check types include HTTP, TCP, UDP, and TLS.
- You are solely responsible for the legality, availability, and authorization of your monitoring targets.
- Monitoring is performed from multiple geographic locations.
- Check log retention periods vary by plan and are described in our product documentation.
8Incidents and Status Pages
The Service includes incident management and public status page functionality:
- Incidents: Record and communicate service disruptions. Incident records are retained according to our data retention policies.
- Status Pages: Public-facing pages that display linked monitor health, incident history, and subscriber notifications. Status pages support custom branding and optional analytics integration.
- Subscribers: Visitors may subscribe to a status page via email to receive incident notifications. Subscriptions require double opt-in confirmation. Subscriber data is retained until the subscriber unsubscribes, the subscription expires, or the status page is removed.
9Integration API and API Keys
The Service provides an Integration API for programmatic resource management:
- API access is authenticated via API keys that are shown only once at creation. You are responsible for storing them securely.
- API keys have configurable scopes and expiry dates, and can be revoked at any time by team owners.
- Key validity is verified on every request.
For full API documentation, refer to our developer docs.
10Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Schedule jobs against, monitor, or otherwise target websites, APIs, servers, or services that you do not own or do not have explicit authorization to access.
- Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international laws or regulations.
- Target private, internal, or restricted network addresses (our platform enforces protections against this, but you must not attempt to circumvent them).
- Perform network scanning, probing, or penetration testing against third-party systems.
- Execute or facilitate denial-of-service (DoS) or distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks.
- Send unsolicited communications (spam) or engage in phishing or social engineering.
- Infringe upon the intellectual property or privacy rights of others.
- Transmit viruses, malware, or any other harmful code.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, infrastructure, or other users' accounts.
- Abuse the free tier or referral program through fraudulent means (e.g., creating fake accounts to generate referral rewards).
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts in violation of this policy, without prior notice when necessary to protect the integrity of the Service.
10.1. Third-Party Abuse Reports
If a third party (such as a website or service owner) believes that a Crystade user is targeting their systems without authorization, they may submit an abuse report to [email protected]. Upon receiving a report, Crystade reserves the right to:
- Investigate the reported activity, including reviewing the relevant resource configurations and execution logs.
- Immediately suspend the offending resources or the user's account while the investigation is ongoing.
- Permanently terminate the account if the investigation confirms unauthorized or illegal targeting of third-party systems.
Crystade will handle abuse reports at its sole discretion and is under no obligation to disclose investigation details to either party beyond what is required by applicable law.
11Billing, Subscriptions, and Credits
11.1. Subscription Plans
Crystade uses a subscription-based billing model powered by Paddle as our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles checkout, payment processing, tax collection, invoicing, and payment recovery for all paid transactions.
- Available plans, pricing, and billing cycles are published on our pricing page and may change subject to Section 11.7.
- Every newly created team starts on the Free plan.
- Plan upgrades are billed immediately (prorated) and take effect after Paddle confirms successful payment.
- Plan downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period with no proration.
11.2. Addons
Teams may purchase addons to extend resource capacity:
- Addons are available on all plans, including Free.
- Increasing addon quantity is billed immediately (prorated) and takes effect after successful payment.
- Decreasing addon quantity takes effect at the end of the current billing period with no proration.
11.3. Resource Entitlements
- Your resource entitlements are determined by your team's plan limits plus any active addons.
- If a downgrade or cancellation reduces your entitlement below current usage, surplus resources are suspended (not deleted). Suspended resources keep their configuration and history but do not execute.
- When capacity becomes available again, suspended resources are automatically restored.
11.4. Credits
- Credits are scoped to teams and denominated in USD.
- Credits are non-transferable between teams and may be subject to expiration or usage conditions at Crystade's discretion.
- Credits may be applied as discounts during checkout.
- Applied discounts are one-time use and non-recurring.
11.5. Payment and Invoicing
- All paid billing is prepaid for the upcoming billing period.
- Paddle issues invoices and receipts for all paid transactions. Taxes are handled by Paddle.
- The billing admin manages subscriptions, payment methods, and billing details via Paddle's customer portal.
- Currency is USD at launch.
- Refund eligibility is determined on a case-by-case basis at Crystade's discretion, in accordance with applicable law. Approved refunds are fulfilled by Paddle.
11.6. Subscription Lifecycle
- Renewals are processed automatically by Paddle unless the billing admin stops renewal.
- Cancelling a paid subscription stops future renewal at the end of the current paid period.
- If a subscription becomes past due, the team retains its entitlements during payment recovery; new upgrades are blocked until the account returns to good standing.
- If payment cannot be recovered and the paid term ends, the team falls back to the entitlements of its remaining paid items.
- Billing changes do not delete team data, resource definitions, or execution history.
11.7. Pricing Changes
We may change pricing, plan features, and addon rates with reasonable notice. Changes to resource limits do not affect existing subscriptions until the next renewal.
12Referral Program
Crystade may offer a referral program. Referral rewards, eligibility, and terms are described on our referral program page and may change at any time without prior notice.
- Referral rewards are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
- We reserve the right to withhold or revoke referral rewards obtained through fraudulent activity, abuse, or operational error.
- We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the referral program at any time without prior notice.
13Data and Privacy
Your privacy is important to us:
- We collect and process data as described in our Privacy Policy.
- Data we collect includes account information, team and member data, resource configurations, incident records, status page settings, and execution logs.
- Execution and monitoring response data is captured and stored according to the retention period and size limits defined by your plan.
- Billing is handled by Paddle; we do not store payment card data.
- We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your data.
- You retain ownership of your configurations and data. We may use anonymized, aggregated data for service improvement.
- We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
14Security
- All outbound connections made by Crystade (job execution, monitoring checks) are validated against a blocklist of restricted network address ranges, including private and internal addresses.
- Redirect responses are subject to the same validation.
- Connections are only permitted on explicitly allowed protocols and ports.
- You must not configure resources that intentionally target restricted addresses or attempt to circumvent these protections.
- API keys are verified for validity, scope, and revocation status on every request. Key metadata is retained for audit purposes after revocation or expiry.
15Intellectual Property
- The Service, including the platform, software, website, and all original content, are the exclusive property of Crystade and its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
- You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or distribute the Service or any part of it without our express written permission.
- You retain full ownership of your resource configurations, endpoint data, and any business logic associated with your use of the Service.
16Service Availability and Maintenance
- The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service, particularly during the Early Access phase.
- We target job execution within 5 seconds of the configured time under normal conditions.
- We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability. We will provide reasonable advance notice when possible.
- During the Early Access phase, we may apply emergency changes without prior notice to address critical issues.
17Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. GIVEN THE EARLY ACCESS NATURE OF THIS PRODUCT, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
18Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Crystade shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, business, or goodwill.
- We are not responsible for any damages or losses resulting from the success, failure, missed execution, or timing deviation of jobs or monitors you configure. The business logic and outcomes triggered at your Endpoints are your sole responsibility.
19Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Crystade and its team members from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Service.
- The behavior, content, or consequences of the Endpoints and targets you configure.
- Your violation of these Terms or any applicable law.
- Your violation of any third-party rights.
- Fraudulent use of the referral program or abuse of the free tier.
20Termination
- You may stop using the Service at any time. Account deletion is not currently available as a self-service option during the Early Access phase; please contact
[email protected]to request data removal. - We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, engage in abusive behavior, or use the Service in a manner that creates legal risk or harm to others, or for any reason with reasonable notice during the Early Access phase.
- If Crystade loses a chargeback dispute, the associated team and the billing admin's account may be suspended.
- Upon termination, your team's scheduled jobs and monitors will be stopped and access to the platform will cease.
- Billing changes and termination do not delete team data, resource definitions, or execution history.
- Credits remaining at termination are non-refundable unless required by applicable law.
21Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [Jurisdiction]. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of [Jurisdiction]. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
22Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice on the platform with reasonable advance notice (except where required by law, in which case notice will be given as soon as practicable).
